Seizure of benefits
If you become legally bankrupt, your pension benefits
cannot be assigned to your creditors. Your pension benefits may, however, be
seized or attached to satisfy an Order issued under the Maintenance Enforcement
Act.
You cannot assign your rights to pension benefits to
someone else except in the case of a breakdown of a marriage or common-law
relationship.
